Benjamin Spencer

Benjamin is a footwear and accessories designer and a Savannah College of Art and Design graduate in the United States. Passionate about sustainability in fashion, he is dedicated to developing innovative materials that address the industry's waste problem. As part of his work, Benjamin launched the first collection for his brand, Thomas Benjamin, using cutting-edge sustainable techniques. By harnessing the symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast used in kombucha tea production, he successfully grew a textile with properties similar to leather. In addition, Benjamin is exploring other sustainable solutions for fashion, including bioplastics and electrothermal textiles.
