Sejal Budholiya
Sejal is an artist, mechanical engineer, and co-founder of Neysa, a performing arts initiative dedicated to empowering young people from underprivileged backgrounds. Through Neysa, Sejal uses dance as a transformative tool, collaborating with 15 organisations to inspire and uplift over 200 children. Beyond the arts, Sejal applies her engineering expertise to create innovative solutions that address pressing social and environmental challenges. Her projects include a modular rainwater harvesting system that filters water using corn cobs and Gaia, a tool designed to simplify the logistics of managing menstrual hygiene.

Sejal’s journey from a small town in India to becoming a multidisciplinary innovator reflects her lifelong passion for finding creative solutions to traditional challenges.
Guided by the belief that inspiration can strike at any moment and that anyone can achieve their dreams, she channels her experiences into impactful work that drives change.
Through the Creatives for Our Future programme, Sejal has advanced three projects: Neysa, a platform offering virtual dance classes for underprivileged children; a rainwater harvesting system designed for rural communities; and Gaia, a line of sustainable sanitary products adaptable for use on Earth and in space.
The programme has been instrumental in supporting Sejal in developing prototypes and strategies to scale these initiatives, amplifying their potential to create lasting impact.

I hope to contribute and create a world where opportunities aren’t limited to the privileged, and the contribution towards sustainability is paved through passion and dreams.
